Mystery Cruise
October 13, 2002

The group started out from North Drive Middle School in Hopkinsville, traveled 91 North to Princeton where they met up with the out-of-towners.  From there, we continued on 91/641 through Fredonia, Crayne, and Marion, KY until we reached the Ohio River.

HEY!  There's no bridge!
Do you think we are all standing outside wondering what we are going to do now?
~Not exactly.

Since Corvettes are not equipped with floatation devices, we ferried across to Cave-In Rock, IL.
We were lucky enough to be able to get all the cars on the ferry in one trip.

We continued on Route 1 in Illinios to The Garden of the Gods.
It was a beautiful Fall day to enjoy a short hike and take in the scenery.

After our visit with nature, we journeyed on ........

and on....

and on.....

and on....

Some of us were so hungry we tried to buy bologna sandwiches from the Toll booth guy.

I distinctly remember someone saying they were getting to the point
of looking at roadkill in a culinary manner.

Phil took charge at this point and led us to Evansville where we ate at The Old Mill Restaurant.

I believe this was a first for WKCC.
Three states in one mystery cruise!
Who knows what's next!

All jokes aside, it was a beautiful day for a cruise!

Thank You Bill & Phil !
